Accessibility
We are striving to make our churches as welcoming as possible. However because of our physical space and financial realities we are unable to make them as physically accessible as we would like at this time. Here is what we have been able to do:
At both churches:
We have a sound system that is used by the minister. We use a projection system that shows most of the responsive spoken words and most of the hymns which is helpful for those who have difficulty holding the hymnbooks and those holding children. The words only hymnbooks (which are smaller) are also lighter. Large print services, printed sermons, or electronic files of the full service (for use on a tablet) are also available upon request prior to the service (or after for home use)
Allenford:
We have headphones that are wirelessly connected to the sound system. These are also great for people with hearing aids. There are steps up to the sanctuary and down to the hall and the washrooms. We are also currently raising money and exploring ways to make our building physically accessible. If you wish to donate to this project please e-mail the church for more information.
Park Head:
We have ramps at the front door (to the sanctuary) and the side door (to the hall). We also a have a ramp from the sanctuary to the hall. There is a 1-2 inch the front doors. A small ramp can be set up upon request to help with ease of access at these doors. Our washroom is accessible.
We are grateful for any feedback that helps us welcome you and your loved ones more fully. Please e-mail the church or talk with our minister and the information will be passed along to the Stewards of the church.
